In a recent report, Fichajes revealed that Chelsea are eyeing a move for Strasbourg forward Joaquin Panichelli. It has been stated that the Blues are showing interest in recruiting the Argentine striker in 2026.
Panichelli has made a great start to this campaign as he has produced a handful of impressive displays for Strasbourg in the final third. The Argentine attacker has participated in ten matches for the French outfit this season across all competitions.
The 23-year-old has led the line well for Strasbourg up top and has done well to average 3.04 shots per 90 minutes in Ligue 1. He has kept 47.6% of his attempts on target. Panichelli was even tidy with his ball distribution after completing 78.2% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract will run out in the summer of 2030. Hence, Chelsea would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting Panichelli next year.

Panichelli is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get a few strikes in on target. He has got the vision to create a few inviting chances for his teammates in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.
The Argentine talent has proven his worth as a consistent goal-scorer in Ligue 1 so far this season. However, only time will tell whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if the Blues manage to snap him up next year.
Panichelli would add more firepower to Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca’s attack. He has what it takes to compete for a regular starting spot at the West London club in the coming seasons.
At 23, Panichelli has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a worthy target for the Blues to consider this January or at the end of this campaign. He would even help Chelsea challenge across all competitions over the next few years. Therefore, Maresca would be wise to go all out to bring him on board soon.
