One Chelsea insider has now mentioned sixteen current players in the squad who should be sold by the club this summer.

Chelsea are going to be busy in the upcoming transfer window and they will have a number of deals they will look to be pulling off both outgoing and incoming.

We have been hearing about a host of names that Chelsea could go for in the market again at the end of the season, and the name of Rafa Leao is one creeping back in again, with Chelsea being linked to him a number of times over the years.

Chelsea of course have already completed the deals to sign two players from Sporting, with one of them arriving this summer and the other the following summer. Apparently, Chelsea felt pressure from other top clubs so that’s why they got the deals for Geovany Quenda and Dario Essugo done early in some pre-deals.

But as well as arrivals, Chelsea will be looking to ship some players out as well with a big squad of players and many out on loan who will be coming back in.

Our writer Simon Phillips has put out an article on his Substack site this week saying who he would sell at the club this summer if he was in charge.

Phillips says:

‘I want to say that this article is not that realistic and is more just for fun. I will do a more realistic outlook on this tomorrow when I put out my predicted player sales article. But this really is just players I would be content with us selling this summer but in reality, it is going to be physically impossible to sell all of these players in one window!

‘So, these are the players I would sell in our current squad (I am only doing the senior squad and players on loan):

‘I’d keep him as a squad player but only if he was happy to be that.

‘I’ve put him in the sell list because yes, I would sell him if an offer came in. But equally, if he wanted to stay and was happy to stay as a rotation option then I would keep him.

‘I like Sancho, but if there’s an opportunity to buy and sell for a profit or a player trade, then I’d probably do that.’
