Chelsea’s scattered transfer plans do not look good at all for striker Nicolas Jackson as they continue to be linked with strikers.

Chelsea beat Los Angeles FC 2-0 in their Club World Cup opening group game on Monday night in what was a very strange and subdued atmosphere in front of just 22,000 people in a huge stadium.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea ready to push on Jarrad Branthwaite & player set to push for the move!

It was far from vintage Chelsea but in the end they just got the job done and three points on the board to set them up for a good starts.

The goals came from a lovely Nicolas Jackson assist to Pedro Neto to finish in the first half. And then new signing Liam Delap also provided a superb assist for Enzo Fernandez to run into the box and tap in to score.

Chelsea want Pedro

Brighton’s Joao Pedro is one name who is coming up a lot this week and there is clearly some strong Chelsea interest there in the 23-year-old who has 3 caps for the Brazilian national side.

Romano posted on his X account earlier in the week:

“Chelsea seriously consider João Pedro in their list while Newcastle are in active talks.”

I personally think he ends up at Newcastle, but you cannot ignore the constant and most recent links to Chelsea here either.

What does this mean for Jackson?

The forearm smash which saw Nicolas Jackson sent off.

Are Chelsea really going to go into the season with three strikers after Liam Delap joined in the summer as well? Three competing for one position?

I can’t see it, and Pedro is not the only striker that they are linked with wanting to sign this summer so in my opinion, it does not look good for Jackson’s Chelsea future.
