FC Bayern are heading for a comparatively quiet summer of transfers. After a dominant season and the treble still within their grasp, those responsible apparently see no reason for major changes to the squad. Instead, the Munich club are focusing on continuity – with a clearly defined focus on selective reinforcements
As reported by kicker, Bayern are currently only planning one major new signing for the coming season. The background to this is the decision not to sign on-loan player Nicolas Jackson permanently. This creates a need in the attack that needs to be filled in a targeted manner
Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United remains at the top of the wish list. Interest in the England international is considered to be well-founded and is in line with numerous international reports. The 25-year-old is expected to strengthen the left flank and lend additional versatility to the already high-calibre attack
Those responsible do not currently see any acute need for action in defence. Changes could only be made here if players leave the club. Minjae Kim is considered a possible sales candidate, even though he has not yet indicated any intention to move
The approach in midfield is particularly interesting. As is well known, Leon Goretzka’s expiring contract will not be extended. Nevertheless, Bayern are apparently not planning a direct external replacement. Instead, young players and returnees are expected to fill the resulting gap
One name that comes up in this context is Noel Aseko. The 20-year-old is returning from Hannover 96 via a buy-back option and could recommend himself for a bigger role in the summer
This internal approach also speaks against the signing of talents such as Kennet Eichhorn, who has also recently been linked with the Munich club

In addition to Goretzka, Raphael Guerreiro will also be leaving the club, while Jackson’s loan ends as planned. In the case of Senegalese talent Bara Sapoko Ndiaye, however, there are many indications that he will sign permanently
Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich both have expiring contracts and a final decision has yet to be made
Bayern’s strategy is clear: after an almost perfect season, the team’s foundations are to remain intact. Instead of a major shake-up, Munich are focusing on targeted reinforcements and internal solutions
An approach that shows how much confidence there is in the current squad – and how much belief there is at Säbener Straße that this team is far from having reached the end of its development.
