Juventus coach Thiago Motta has released his squad for tomorrow’s Champions League match against Aston Villa and will rely on just 17 players in Birmingham, including three goalkeepers.
Thiago Motta has limited options as Juventus take off from Turin for Birmingham today.
Only 17 Juventus players have travelled to England for Wednesday’s Champions League meeting with Aston Villa, the fifth round of the league phase.
As expected, Juventus’ best scorer, Dusan Vlahovic, is among the absentees, and the same is true of USMNT international Weston McKennie, who didn’t even train on Monday.
Only 14 outfield players worked at the Juventus training ground this morning, and they’ve all been included in the squad list, along with keepers Michele Di Gregorio, Mattia Perin, and Carlo Pinsoglio.
Juventus have earned seven points in the opening four Champions League Rounds, while tomorrow’s rivals Aston Villa have nine.
Juventus are still unbeaten in Serie A, but sit 6ht, four points behind table leaders Napoli.
