Corinthians have made five signings for the Brabas this season, and the club continue to monitor the market after defensive setbacks. According to Meu Timao, director Iris Sesso says the priority is the current squad as they head to London for the Copa das Campeãs.

Centre-back Thaís Regina fractured the fibula in her left ankle after a training collision last week. She will undergo surgery and has no return date. Agustina Barroso, who rejoined in 2026, also misses the event with a recurrent contracture linked to scarring of the left soleus.

Sesso backed head coach Lucas Piccinato to begin the new campaign and remain in charge, while acknowledging sections of fan discontent. She noted his 2025 Brasileiro and Libertadores titles.

Last year, Corinthians lost to São Paulo on penalties in the Supercopa Feminina final and were knocked out by the same rivals in the Copa do Brasil quarter-finals. In the Paulista decider, they were beaten 5-1 by Palmeiras in the first leg and won the return 1-0, finishing runners-up.

Off the pitch, talks with new partners are advanced but will only be announced once contracts are signed. The club agreed a deal with Remessa Online to place its branding on the lower back of the shirt, renewed with Tecnogera, and are negotiating a new main sponsor with a major, unnamed company.

The Brabas open 2026 on 28 January at 9:30 Brasília time, facing Gotham FC in the Copa das Campeãs semi-final at the Gtech Community Stadium in London.
