Corinthians edge ahead in record against United States sides after Gotham win | OneFootball

Corinthians beat Gotham FC 1-0 on Wednesday morning to reach the Copa das Campeãs da Fifa final, moving ahead in their record against United States clubs. The Brabas now have four meetings, with two wins, one draw and one defeat, scoring three and conceding two.

As reported by Meu Timao, the fixture history spans friendlies and invitational ties played in Brazil and the United States.

Their first meeting came in a goalless friendly with Penn State Nittany Lions at Parque Ecológico do Tietê.

In July last year, Corinthians were invited to the Teal Rising Cup. They beat Chicago Stars 1-0 in the semi-final at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City, with Letícia Teles scoring.

They then faced Kansas City Current in the final at the same venue, losing 2-1. Michelle Cooper and Mary Long scored for the hosts, Gabi Zanotti replied for Corinthians.

Corinthians now turn their focus to European opposition. They meet Arsenal in Sunday’s Copa das Campeãs da Fifa final at 15:00.
