Corinthians goalkeeper Rillary apologised on Saturday for the slip that gifted Fluminense a late equaliser in Friday's draw at Neo Química Arena.

In a social media post, the 20-year-old said she lost her footing at the key moment, accepted responsibility and vowed to work harder to learn from it and help the team. She noted that, despite a generally good display, that detail proved decisive even if it felt beyond her control.

Rillary had been set to start on the bench, but during the warm-up Nicole Ramos felt shoulder discomfort and was withdrawn. Lelê was rested by the staff and left out, with 17-year-old Ana Morganti among the substitutes.

This was only her third senior outing for Corinthians. She featured in a 3-0 win over Taubaté in 2025 in the Campeonato Paulista, and in 2024 played in a 5-0 victory against São José, also in the State competition. Across the Under-17 and Under-20 teams she has made more than 60 appearances.

The Brabas now have three weeks before returning on 13 March to face Palmeiras at Arena Barueri in the third round of the Brasileirão Feminino. Before then, the FIFA international window will see Lelê and 10 other Corinthians players join their national teams.
