Corinthians learn semi-final rivals in Paulista Women's Basketball 🏀

After defeating Pró-Esporte in the quarterfinals of the São Paulo Women's Basketball Championship, Corinthians already knows who their opponent will be in the next round. In a new best-of-three series, the Furiosas will face Santo André, with two games taking place at Parque São Jorge.

The details will still be announced by the Paulista Basketball Federation (FPB), which organizes the tournament. However, due to their strong performance in the first phase and in the realignment, Corinthians already knows the advantage they will have in the matchup, which is playing the majority of games at home.

If they advance, the Furiosas will face SESI Araraquara or Unimed Campinas, who are competing on the other side of the bracket. Both teams advanced without any losses, winning their first two matchups. As for Santo André, they were defeated once by Ourinhos, qualifying with a 2-1 record.

Corinthians' last state title came in 2015, but the club decided to deactivate the sport, which was only reactivated last year to compete in the Women's Basketball League. Ten years later, the team is trying to reach the competition final and become champions for the fourth time in history.
