Corinthians will be without youngsters André Luiz and Breno Bidon for Thursday’s 20:00 kick-off against Red Bull Bragantino at Neo Química Arena in the third round of the Brasileirão.
The club said in a statement that André has a ligament injury to his left ankle, while Bidon is recovering from a strain in his right hamstring. Both started Sunday’s derby in Itaquera, a 1-0 defeat in the Paulistão, and no return date was provided.
They join forward Kaio César, sidelined with a right hamstring problem picked up last Thursday against Capivariano. Left-back Hugo remains in the medical department after a meniscal suture to repair a bucket-handle tear of the lateral meniscus.
André previously missed several weeks between October and November last year with a ligament injury to his right ankle. He has featured in seven matches this season, six as a starter, and has scored once.
Bidon has played eight times, starting six, and has two goals, trailing only Yuri Alberto’s three in 2026. Against Palmeiras he showed discomfort in the first half but was substituted only on 43 minutes of the second period.
Without the pair, Dorival Júnior has André Carrillo available again after left adductor discomfort, along with Rodrigo Garro. Raniele and Matheus Pereira complete the midfield quartet.
Corinthians are chasing their first win of the Campeonato Brasileiro and are looking to climb off the bottom after losing to Bahia in the opener. They have a game in hand alongside Athletico Paranaense from the second round.
