Corinthians share behind-the-scenes of Women's Brasileirão final

Two days after winning their seventh Women's Brasileirão title, Corinthians released behind-the-scenes footage of the final against Cruzeiro on Corinthians TV. The first match ended in a 2-2 draw at the Independência Arena, while the decision, on Sunday morning, took place at the Neo Química Arena, with a 1-0 victory for Brabas. The video was published on Tuesday night, the 16th.

The production starts in an exciting way, with striking images from the match and a prayer to Saint George in the background. Then, screenshots of social media messages doubting Timão's strength in the final are displayed.

In the behind-the-scenes footage of the first leg, Vic Albuquerque is seen encouraging the squad: "We are the number one team in Brazil. Are we going to let them take us from our place? Reach our level? We won't let them. What they want to do, we've done a thousand times and today we're going to come out victorious". A narrator complements, highlighting the alvinegra journey in the sport: "for us, nothing was easy, each victory was built with grit and resistance, because here you don't play with your feet, you play with your soul".

The images show Brabas' arrival at the Independência Arena and the relaxed atmosphere in the dressing room, with conversations, laughter, and instructions from the coaching staff. Before the ball rolls, Lucas Piccinato gives the final speech.

"The energy is amazing and we're going to transform this energy into something good out there. Today is the day we show our personality. The personality and the ability we have to play football and make it happen. If we deliver a good game out there, our fans will silence the stadium, you know that. It's us setting the mood, the fans will come along and make a hell of a game out there", said the coach.

Next, the highlights of the match are shown. Gi Fernandes opened the scoring in the first half, and at halftime, Piccinato demanded more efficiency from the attack. The second goal came in the final stage, with Gabi Zanotti completing Tamires' cross.

After the final whistle, the players applauded the Fiel and headed to the dressing room. There, Piccinato spoke to the group again: "Work, look at the mistakes, leave the ego out because we have to improve and have a great week to close. Last home game? We didn't have it last year, now we do, next to our fans we're going to be champions."

Vic Albuquerque also reinforced her leadership: "Everyone has to run, here everyone has to run, help whoever is coming in... If only one doesn't run, we're going to lose the game. You have to have a champion's spirit, walk out with your head held high". Then, Mariza adds: "We're going to play at home and we're going to be champions, think about that all the time."

The video then shows the fans' reception at the Neo Química Arena for the second match. The Brabas arrive pumped, singing and cheering. Even in a decisive atmosphere, the environment is light, with jokes, dances, and tactical adjustments. Piccinato gathers the group for the final instructions.

"Our whole championship was directed for us to be in this moment here. We're going to duel from the first to the last minute, aerial duel, ground duel, any kind, it has to be us. It's about making it happen in the best possible stadium. Enjoy, it goes by fast. A lot of people wrote us off in the championship, that's the truth, a lot of people looked at us and said 'Corinthians is over', and we're here again, in front of our fans again and we're going to be champions again", said the coach.

Back in the dressing room, the players join in prayer and then enter the field motivated. The video shows decisive moments from the final, complete with fan celebrations. At halftime, with the scoreless draw, Piccinato asks for more intensity. In the final stage, Thais Ferreira scores the championship goal and secures the alvinegra victory. The celebration at the Neo Química Arena was complete, with fireworks and players storming the field after the final whistle.

Among chants from the Fiel and celebrations on the field, Gabi Zanotti and Tamires lift the trophy together. The squad celebrates with medals on their chests, while Thaís vents: "It's so emotional, my first title in the Brazilian championship in my first year at Corinthians; I hadn't scored my goal, it was the first, it's very exciting".

Tamires also shares her joy: "Inexplicable feeling, it's very difficult to maintain yourself. Regardless of how much we fluctuated in the championship, we worked, we never let it go to our heads, we brought the last game home and crowned the fans with this gold medal". Vic adds: "This season was very challenging for me, I always said that, for me, what matters is winning. It doesn't matter who's going to score the goal, who's going to be the starter, I'm very happy to play with these girls".

In the end, the fun takes over the dressing rooms. The video ends with the players preparing the traditional "cold water shower" for Lucas Piccinato, this time in the press room of the Neo Química Arena.
