Corinthians Women equal defensive record again this month

On the evening of last Sunday (16), Corinthians defeated Realidade Jovem 3-0 at Estádio Municipal José Liberatti in Osasco, in a match valid for the 14th and final round of the first phase of the Paulista Women's Championship. Letícia Monteiro, Ivana Fuso, and Eudimilla scored the goals for the Alvinegro.

The result confirmed the Brabas' lead in the initial stage of the tournament with 35 points (11 wins, two draws, and one loss – 32 goals scored and six conceded). In addition to the victory, the club from Parque São Jorge repeated a defensive record for the second time in just over a month.

Lucas Piccinato's squad has now gone three matches—270 minutes (not counting stoppage time)—without conceding a goal. These matches were all in the Paulista Women's Championship, against Ferroviária (0-0), Palmeiras (0-0), and Realidade Jovem (3-0). The first two matches were away from home.

Previously, at the beginning of October, the Brabas repeated the same defensive feat during the Conmebol Libertadores Femenina, which ended with the Corinthians women's team winning their sixth title (2017, 2019, 2021, 2023, 2024, and 2025). The streak occurred between the second round of the group stage and the quarterfinals, when the Alvinegro kept clean sheets against Always Ready-BOL (11-0), Santa Fé (1-0), and Boca Juniors (4-0).

Now, the Brabas return to the pitch this Saturday (22), at 11 a.m. (Brasília time), to face São Paulo away from home—venue to be determined—in the first leg of the Paulista Women's Championship semifinals. The rival's home venue should be announced soon.
