Crysencio Summerville joins Al-Hilal and targets trophies after rollercoaster window | OneFootball

Crysencio Summerville has completed his move to Al-Hilal on a four-year deal running to June 2030. He said he has big ambitions and hopes to help the Riyadh club chase every trophy after what he called a rollercoaster window.

The Dutch winger arrives after a turbulent season in East London ended with West Ham’s relegation. The fee is an initial £55m, rising to £60m with add-ons, and he is reportedly set to earn up to €17m net per year, a €68m commitment across the contract.

Roma and Manchester United explored moves earlier in the window, with Roma having a £39m offer turned down before Al-Hilal stepped in. The package makes Summerville the third-most expensive departure in West Ham history.

Negotiations gathered pace quickly and he regards Al-Hilal as the league’s biggest club. He sees himself as the kind of player supporters come to watch and called the switch a great honour.

His profile soared after a breakout World Cup in North America, where he scored two goals and excelled on the left wing. The Oranje went out to Morocco after Yassine Bounou saved his decisive penalty.

He will work under Simone Inzaghi in Riyadh, linking up with Bounou, Karim Benzema, Ruben Neves, Darwin Nunez, Joao Cancelo and Theo Hernandez. The transfer is the Saudi Pro League’s most expensive of the summer and the third-highest in its history, behind Neymar at about €90m and Jhon Duran at roughly €77m.
