Eagles will embark on a revenge mission in European knockout tie
Crystal Palace will play AEK Larnaca for the second time this season as Oliver Glasner’s side discovered their Conference League last 16 opponents.
The Eagles have already faced the Cypriot side in this year’s competition, as they were stunned 1-0 at Selhurst Park by Riad Bajic’s 51st-minute winner in the league phase.
It was the south Londoners’ first home game on the continent in proper European competition.
Glasner’s men, plumped as favourites for this year’s tournament, finished 10th in the league table, which forced them into a play-off to qualify for the first knockout round.
They overcame Bosnian side Zrinjski Mostar across two legs, with a 2-0 victory at Selhurst Park in the second, to book their place in the last 16.
Elsewhere in the draw, Fiorentina, the twice runners-up, will face Polish side Rakow.
Should Palace progress past Larnaca, they will play either the Serie A outfit or Rakow.
Chelsea’s sister club Strasbourg, owned by BlueCo, will travel to Rijeka in Croatia.
In the Europa League, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest are the two Premier League representatives.
Unai Emery’s Villa will face Ligue 1 Lille, while Forest, who defeated Fenerbahce over two legs in their knockout play-off, have earned themselves a match-up with Midtjylland, who stunned the English side at the City Ground earlier in the campaign.
If Villa overcome their French opponents, they will be guaranteed an Italian job in the quarter-finals, facing ether Roma or Bologna.
If Forest beat their Danish counterparts, they will take on either FC Porto or Stuttgart, who defeated Celtic in the play-offs.
