Cubarsi Gets 8, Garcia With 7.5 | Barcelona Players Rated In Tough Loss Vs Girona

Barcelona faced off against Girona earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win on the road in La Liga. The Catalan club made a decent start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.
Pau Cubarsi scored the opener for Barca in the 59th minute. However, Thomas Lemar equalised for Girona just three minutes later. Fran Beltran ended up scoring the winner for the home side in the 86th minute before Joel Roca received a red card in injury time. Hansi Flick’s men ended up suffering a tough 2-1 away from home.
He made a lot of solid saves during the game, but still ended up conceding two goals tonight.
RB: Jules Kounde – 7/10
Kounde performed his defensive duties well and made two good chances going forward. He has got an assist to show for his efforts.
CB: Pau Cubarsi – 8/10
He gave a good account of himself defensively and managed to score the opener in the 59th minute.
CB: Eric Garcia – 6/10
Garcia failed to impress during his time on the field.

LB: Gerard Martin – 6.5/10
He caught the eye at times on both halves.
CM: Fermin Lopez – 6.5/10
Fermin got stuck in with some solid tackles and was not shy of having a strike at goal.
CM: Frenkie de Jong – 6/10
He struggled to impress in the middle of the park and was fortunate to last the whole game.
CM: Dani Olmo – 7/10
Olmo engineered a few inviting chances for others around him, but has got nothing to show for his efforts.
RW: Lamine Yamal – 7/10
He caused a lot of headaches for the opposition defenders, but there was no goal for him.
ST: Ferran Torres – 6.5/10
Torres caught the eye at times up top but failed to find the back of the net.
LW: Raphinha – 7/10
He was a good dribbler with the ball and managed to engineer some meaningful openings for others around him.

His impact on the game was minimal.
RW: Roony Bardghji – 6/10
He made a couple of decent chances in the final third.
CB: Ronald Araujo – 6/10
Araujo failed to keep things solid at the back.
