David Beckham “fed up” of United losing almost every week under Amorim | OneFootball

Ruben Amorim masterminded yet another loss as Manchester United boss, with the Red Devils crashing to a 0-3 defeat at the hands of Manchester City on Sunday.

Instead of going for the jugular against a struggling City side, the Portuguese tactician inexplicably decided to adopt a safety-first approach, and the plan backfired spectacularly.

Plenty of pundits and ex-players have called for the ex-Sporting CP boss to tweak his tactics to arrest the slide, but Amorim seems hellbent on staying the course.

And INEOS also plan to back him for now. Club legend David Beckham, who usually refrains from criticising his former club, appeared on CBS Sports and could not hide his disappointment.

The Treble winner revealed that, like all fans, he was also fed up with the constant losses, and he hoped that the players were hurting inside as much as the fans.

“Being an ex-player and a fan I would hope that they are hurting like we are as fans. And I’m sure they are, because they’re not going out there not wanting to win games.

“It was a very hard watch. And like I said, as a United fan, I’m kinda fed up with watching these games and seeing what we’re seeing.”

The former right midfielder did not want to elaborate on the managerial situation at the club, but added that players would not want to roam around Manchester after such a meek surrender.

Frustrated with losses galore

“They’ve just come up against a team like Manchester City at Manchester City. And when you lose a game like that, you don’t go out for a while, because if you do, you’ll just bump into United fans.”

The players and the head coach deserve brickbats, and unfortunately, on current evidence, there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel.

Especially as Amorim seems adamant that he will not change things, even though the glaring errors keep getting pointed out by people.

Up next is another difficult challenge, this time at home against Chelsea. Another loss could push the head coach to the edge of the precipice.
