De Ketelaere to FC Bayern? Gordon remains the priority

The news recently caused quite a stir: Charles De Ketelaere is said to be a concrete transfer target at FC Bayern. But apparently there is much less to the personnel matter than initially assumed

A few days ago, journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported that the Belgian international was open to a move to Munich and had even already sent positive signals to the German record champions about a transfer in the summer. The kicker also confirmed Munich’s fundamental interest

However, Sport BILD now reports that De Ketelaere is currently not a concrete topic at FC Bayern, meaning that the recent interest is likely to cool down quickly for the time being

One thing is clear, however: Munich are still working hard to strengthen their attack, especially after the departure of on-loan player Nicolas Jackson, and are looking for additional quality in attack

Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon is still considered the absolute ideal solution and Bayern are said to have already reached an agreement in principle with the player

However, Newcastle United are said to be demanding almost 90 million euros for Gordon – a sum that Bayern consider far too high

Bayern are therefore continuing to examine alternative options on the transfer market. De Ketelaere would be significantly cheaper with a market value of 35 million euros. It will be exciting to see whether the personnel issue could heat up again if the Gordon deal does not materialise

Mika Godts remains a candidate

In addition to Gordon, Mika Godts from Ajax Amsterdam is also being discussed. The 20-year-old Belgian is seen as a much cheaper prospect and, according to media reports, is at least on Munich’s extended list

However, unlike Gordon, there have been no concrete talks or advanced negotiations in this case either.
