Details of FC Porto bid for Daniel Sales emerge in Brazil

Details of FC Porto’s proposal for Flamengo right-back Daniel Sales, 20, have emerged in Brazil.

According to O Jogo, the initial offer, sent on 4 July, would hand Porto 50% of the player’s economic rights at no upfront cost, linked only to €300,000 in performance objectives, with options to buy further stakes.

Porto also proposed a further 20% for €2.5m, which would become obligatory if Sales features in five official first-team matches of at least 45 minutes.

The document sets additional compulsory purchases tied to appearance thresholds, a further 10% for €800,000 if he reaches 10 senior games, then another 10% for €1.2m at 15 matches.

The remaining 20% would be acquired for €4m should Sales make 25 official appearances for the A team.
