Serie A giants Inter Milan could reportedly consider the sale of star center-back Alessandro Bastoni at the end of the season.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri would only sanction the Italian’s exit on their own terms.

Alessandro Bastoni has experienced a disturbing start to the new calendar year. Indeed, the 26-year-old has become one of the most unpopular figures in Serie A.

Despite Bastoni’s rough patch, Cristian Chivu continues to rely heavily on the former Atalanta defender.

Therefore, Inter remain hopeful of holding onto their long-serving stalwart despite Barcelona’s growing interest.

Bastoni’s contract at San Siro runs until 2028, although the player is reportedly ready to sign a new deal.

Meanwhile, Inter have slapped a substantial €70 million price tag on their in-demand star and are unwilling to budge on their valuation.

Therefore, Barcelona will have to break the bank if they’re to persuade the Nerazzurri to let Bastoni leave in the summer.

On the other hand, the runaway Serie A leaders have no interest in parting ways with star midfielders Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu.

However, veteran goalkeeper Yann Sommer will leave the club as a free agent at the end of the season.
