Didier Deschamps has released Dayot Upamecano from the France camp and played down injury concerns over Ousmane Dembélé.

According to L'Équipe, the Bayern Munich defender was sent off for a foul on Wesley during Thursday’s 2-1 win over Brazil, and will be suspended for Sunday’s meeting with Colombia in Washington, scheduled for 21:00.

Deschamps said he would release the centre-back, allowing him to return to Munich.

Dembélé was replaced shortly before the hour, holding his right thigh. Deschamps said there was no issue.

The France coach struck a similar note over Aurélien Tchouaméni, who had taken a knock behind the knee.
