Dimitrievski back for Valencia pre-season with more authority after 2028 extension | OneFootball

Stole Dimitrievski returns to Valencia today to start pre-season under Carlos Corberán, fresh from renewing his contract.

According to AS, the Macedonia goalkeeper will undergo medical tests before heading to Paterna to rejoin Corberán and his team-mates. He will also link up with the camp in Girona and can begin to show why he starts with the tag of first choice for next season. He reports slightly later after playing a friendly for Macedonia on one June.

Valencia triggered a clause to extend his stay until 2028 for 500,000 euros.

Since arriving, he has ridden a rollercoaster. He spent his first season behind Mamardashvili, then shared duties with Julen Agirrezabala after the Georgian’s exit. An injury to the Basque opened the door to the XI and, ultimately, his renewal.

This will be his third season at Valencia as the club finalises its goalkeeping plans. In theory, Valencia need to sign a keeper to compete with Stole, while the third choice could be academy product Raúl Jiménez.
