RB Leipzig forward Yan Diomande has addressed links to Liverpool and Bayern Munich, insisting his focus remains Leipzig and downplaying suggestions Liverpool are his dream club.

The 19-year-old Ivorian has enjoyed a superb season, fuelling talk of a summer move. Some reports suggest Liverpool view him as a long-term successor to Mohamed Salah, with Bayern also in contention.

"People made it out to be my dream club. But first and foremost, it’s my dad’s favorite club." He was speaking to Bild. "I have a lot of respect for Liverpool, but my dream club right now is Leipzig."

"But I haven’t spoken to anyone from Bayern. It’s not the right time for that. I’m happy here in Leipzig and want to remain fully focused."

CFBayern reports that Leipzig have set a €100m, £87.1m asking price, said to have been established by Oliver Mintzlaff, and that such a fee could be too steep for Bayern this summer, though Premier League clubs could afford it.

Diomande has made 23 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring eight goals with five assists, and is contracted to Leipzig until July 2030.
