Donnarumma on shortlist for Save of the Month | OneFootball

Gianluigi Donnarumma has been nominated for the Premier League’s Save of the Month for September.

The Italian keeper has been shortlisted for his save from Manchester United’s Bryan Mbeumo in the derby.

Donnarumma made his debut in the 3-0 victory over United and ensured he marked it with a clean sheet with a smart save in the 68th minute.

The winger hit a fierce volley that our summer signing reacted to quickly, turning the ball around the post at full stretch.

James Trafford won the award for August for his save against Brighton and now Donnarumma is on the six-man shortlist for last month.

He faces competition from Aston Villa Emiliano Martinez, Karl Darlow of Leeds, Burnley’s Martin Dubravka, Crystal Palace’s Dean Henderson and Sam Johnstone of Leeds.
