The Argentine’s season has once again been marred by injury setbacks.

Dybala stopped again just when he seemed ready to make his final contribution in this final part of the season.

The problem still concerns his knee, the same one that has been troubling him for over a month and which will require surgery today, reports Il Tempo.

The striker has been suffering from pain since the match against AC Milan on January 25th. Since then, he’s missed five league games and will also be forced to sit out the away match against Genoa, a team coached by Daniele De Rossi. This situation inevitably reopens doubts about his future.

Tests conducted after the inflammation at the end of January ruled out any serious injuries, but the pain never completely disappeared. This led to the decision to undergo surgery, an option that had been ruled out until a few weeks ago.

Recovery times are still uncertain: everything will depend on the type of surgery and the knee’s response. Dybala’s goal remains to return to the pitch before the end of the season and try to conclude his Roma adventure on the pitch.
