The EFL have confirmed transfer window dates for the 2026/27 season, affecting Wolves, West Brom and Walsall.

The summer window opens on Monday, June 15 for Championship, League One and League Two clubs, who then have two-and-a-half months for business.

Clubs may unveil deals earlier, however registrations can only be finalised from mid-June. The deadline is Tuesday, September 1 at 11pm, a return to 11pm after 7pm cut-offs this season.

The winter window starts on Friday, January 1 and closes on Monday, February 1 at 11pm.

Wolves and Albion will face each other in the Championship after Wolves’ relegation. Rob Edwards and James Morrison will work on reshaping squads for improvement next term.

Wolves finished bottom and could not beat second-bottom Burnley on the final day to climb to 19th. Albion avoided the drop to League One, with Morrison appointed caretaker in late February before keeping them up despite a late EFL two-point penalty. He has now been made permanent.

In League Two, Walsall have named Lee Grant as head coach, succeeding Mat Sadler, who was dismissed before the season ended. Darren Byfield took caretaker charge as the Saddlers finished 13th.
