Emotional farewell for West Brom-bound Felix Horn Myhre after final game | OneFootball

Felix Horn Myhre received an emotional send-off as SK Brann beat Rosenberg 3-2 with a stoppage-time winner in his final game before a move to West Brom. The midfielder is due to fly to England on Monday for a medical.

Myhre threaded the pass that released Joachim Soltvedt to cross for Kristian Eriksen’s decisive header, and he was paraded and hoisted before supporters at full-time. The result lifted Brann to sixth in the Eliteserien. "I'm looking forward to trying something new, and I have an old teammate who's kind of keeping an eye on me," he told BA.

"I've had a chat with him. I'm really excited, and he's just as much. He was positive about both the club and how my role was going to look." The old team-mate is Albion striker Aune Heggebo.

Albion are understood to have beaten Elche to his signature, with a fee around £3.1million. Final formalities are to follow his medical.

Myhre leaves Brann after 181 appearances, two league titles, 32 goals and 39 assists. The Norway international has two goals in seven caps and was a surprise omission from the World Cup squad, who were knocked out by England in the last eight.

He is regarded as a box-to-box, technical midfielder and would add to Morrison’s options alongside Ousmane Diakite, Jayson Molumby and Alex Mowatt. Boss Eirik Horneland added: "He deserves it now."
