West Brom working to finalise Felix Horn Myhre deal as seventh summer addition | OneFootball

West Brom are moving to complete the signing of Norway midfielder Felix Horn Myhre after a medical in Birmingham.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, the 27-year-old is in the final stages of a transfer expected to be around 3.1 million after Albion saw off interest from Elche.

He made a farewell appearance for SK Brann on Sunday, helping the stoppage-time winner in a 3-2 victory over Rosenborg. He flew from Norway on Monday for final checks with the Baggies.

Albion and Brann have recent links via last summer's 3.7 million move for striker Aune Heggebo. Head coach James Morrison has driven the pursuit and has said he will only comment once a deal is complete.

Myhre has said he is keen to try something new and has spoken with former team-mate Heggebo about the switch. Completion would make him Albion's seventh signing of the summer.

Albion look set to allow defender Alfie Gilchrist to leave on loan. The centre-back joined in a two million move from Chelsea but did not secure a regular place and could head to a League One club.

Morrison's side prepare this week for the new season, starting with an EFL Cup first-round tie at Rotherham on Saturday at 5.30pm.
