According to ExpressAndStar.com, clubs at home and across Europe are keen on signing Wolves teenager Mateus Mane this summer.

The 18-year-old broke through in the second half of last season, scoring three first team goals after earning his chance under Rob Edwards. Edwards has since been sacked and Cesar Peixoto is set to take charge as Wolves rebuild for the Championship.

That rebuild was expected to include Mane and the club are determined to keep him.

Premier League club Newcastle have a long-standing interest and are considering a move, while Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt are monitoring and could act. Juventus have shown strong interest, though whether they can finance a deal is unclear.

A fee of at least £30million has been suggested to tempt Wolves, although it remains to be seen if that changes following relegation and the change of head coach. Even so, Wolves are understood to be very keen to keep him for their promotion push next season.

Edwards previously said Mane would stay next season, and the player hinted as much in an interview. Edwards has now left, and there have been numerous reports of players unhappy with the sudden managerial change.

Mane started 14 consecutive Premier League matches after an eye-catching full debut at Anfield in December. He then scored in back-to-back games against West Ham and Everton, endured a quieter spell, and finished strongly in the final home draw with Fulham. Since the season ended he has trained in Portugal to maintain fitness.
