Everton scouts are keeping a close watch on Leeds United standout Jayden Bogle as the January transfer window draws near. Journalist Wayne Veysey suggests the Merseyside club wants a fresh right-back to fill a big hole in the backline. Staff from Goodison Park have kept a close eye on the 25-year-old during his strong run in the Premier League this term.
Even though Leeds United currently sit near the bottom of the table, Bogle remains a bright light for Daniel Farke. He has kicked off every single top-flight game for the Yorkshire side since they came back up. Meanwhile, the Toffees currently depend on Jake O’Brien to cover the right-sided defensive spot.
While the Irishman plays well enough, he stays a centre-back by trade. He lacks the natural overlap habits that the modern game needs. Because of this, David Moyes wants a more classic attacking full-back who plays like the legendary Seamus Coleman.

Bogle moved to Leeds from Sheffield United in the summer of 2024. He played a big part in their title-winning season in the Championship. The Englishman’s current deal keeps him at Elland Road until 2028. Because of that, Everton will likely have to put up a huge amount of cash to talk the Whites into a sale.
Furthermore, the report adds that the recruitment staff think Bogle has the exact build and skills that the starting eleven need. His knack for driving the ball up the pitch gives the team something new. This adds extra width when you look at the more defensive O’Brien.
Since the veteran Coleman deals with more injury problems at 37, the club really needs a long-term replacement now. Everton bosses see the January window as the right moment to find a permanent fix.
Jayden Bogle looks like a logical choice because of his top-tier paceand his drive to help the attack. His best traits involve good dribbling skills and high-energy runs down the wing. On the flip side, the Englishman sometimes leaves space behind him when the team loses the ball. All in all, his Premier League minutes make him a better option for a team that needs more balance.
