Christian Vieri believes no team in Serie A matches the quality displayed by Inter Milan in the early stages of Cristian Chivu’s tenure at San Siro.
Speaking to DAZN via FCInterNews, Vieri spoke highly of the club’s attacking transformation under the 44-year-old’s stewardship.
Cristian Chivu has excelled since returning to Giuseppe Meazza this summer.
Despite a lackluster 2025 FIFA Club World Cup campaign, the Nerazzurri have bounced back strongly at the start of the 2025/26 season.
Furthermore, they’ve been particularly impressive in the Champions League, winning both matches via an aggregate score of 5-0.
Meanwhile, Chivu has restored his side’s mentality after two league defeats in early September.
Indeed, Inter have since won three Serie A games in a row, including a 4-1 battering of Cremonese last weekend.
Therefore, they remain firmly in the Scudetto race, sitting only three points behind joint-leaders Napoli and Roma.

First of all, Vieri praised Inter’s summer dealings.
“They bought Manuel Akanji, the strongest defender on the market,” he said. “Then Petar Sucic, Pio Esposito, and Ange-Yoan Bonny, two very strong forwards.
“Inter did a great job in the transfer market.”
Then, he admitted that Inter’s style of play impresses him.
“No one plays like Inter in Serie A,” Vieri added. “They create so much, everyone scores.
“Federico Dimarco puts in crosses that drive me crazy. No one in Europe does it like him. I even told him, it drives me mad.
“That’s why I leave him the number 32 shirt.”
Furthermore, Vieri hailed Chivu’s outstanding work in the early stages of his managerial career at San Siro.
“Inter lacked the ruthlessness and aggression that the new coach is bringing.
“I didn’t give a nine because then people say I’m biased for Inter…
“The directors were brave to take a risk on a young coach with very little experience.”
Finally, Vieri waxed lyrical about Inter talisman Lautaro Martinez.
“Nine, he’s fantastic,” he claimed. “They need to have the desire to win, to be ruthless and aggressive.
“When I said Inter has the strongest squad, people accused me of being biased.
“But even if they lose, I don’t change my mind.
“No one plays like Inter – a team that attacks and where defenders, midfielders, and forwards all score.
“Even if they don’t win the Scudetto or lose other games, the potential is devastating.
