Inter Milan returned to training at Appiano Gentile on Sunday, following Saturday’s 1-0 Serie A win away to Udinese, as Josep Martinez returns to the squad ahead of this week’s Champions League clash against Arsenal.

Cristian Chivu’s side carried out a light recovery session, as is customary the day after a league fixture. The key update came from the goalkeeping department.

According to Sky Sport, via FCInterNews, Josep Martinez trained fully with the group.

The Spanish goalkeeper has now recovered from his recent physical issue and is once again available for selection.

That means Martinez can be called up for Tuesday night’s Champions League showdown against Arsenal at San Siro.

His return offers Chivu an extra option between the posts ahead of a crucial European fixture.

Martinez, who joined Inter after his spell at Barcelona, had missed recent matchdays as a precaution.

The coaching staff have now given him the green light after positive sessions at the training ground.

Inter continue their preparations with confidence, knowing they will welcome Arsenal with increased depth and competition in the squad.
