Former Roma manager Fabio Capello weighed in on the Giallorossi’s chances of getting back to the Champions League.
The Italian technician spoke of Atalanta’s recent feat of lifting their first European title and mentioned Roma’s evolution under Daniele De Rossi.

“Atalanta are doing well – they’re back in the Champions League and are getting equipped to do well in Europe and Serie A,” Capello told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
“Gasperini is a guarantee. And like Inzaghi he starts from the advantage of already knowing the team well,” he added.
“Roma? De Rossi’s Roma still seems like a work in progress to me,” he said.
“I hope that the Italian coaches have understood the main lesson of the Euros: more vertical football and less useless ball possession.”
