Barcelona forward Ansu Fati is now very close to joining AS Monaco.
In fact, transfer market specialist Fabrizio Romano has shared that talks between Barça and the French club have moved forward again after a temporary pause over the weekend.
In the last few hours, both sides have managed to resolve the disagreements that had delayed the move.
It must be noted that Ansu had already given his approval to the move weeks ago. Both clubs have agreed on a one-year loan deal with an option for Monaco to buy the player for €12 million.
A key detail is that Barcelona will keep a significant share of any future sale if Monaco decide to make the transfer permanent.
One of the biggest points of discussion between the clubs was Barça’s desire to include a buyback clause, but it seems that has now been settled.

Ansu’s time at Barcelona under Hansi Flick has not gone as he hoped. After returning from an unremarkable loan spell at Brighton, he struggled to find a place in the team.
The young winger only played 298 minutes this season across all competitions, six games in La Liga, four in the Champions League, and one in the Copa del Rey.
Despite Flick agreeing to keep him in January, Ansu received very little game time even after the league title was already secured. It became clear that he was not part of the manager’s future plans.
The 22-year-old, who once dreamed of becoming a star at Camp Nou, is now hoping to revive his career in Ligue 1.
His move to Monaco could be the fresh start he needs, and both clubs now appear aligned to make that happen.
