FIFA window March 2026: Preliminary Zambia squad unveiled
Zambia head coach George Lwandamina announced an extended squad on Wednesday in preparation for the FIFA window in March.
This preliminary roster features 38 players, including 15 professionals plying their trade abroad. Among the call-ups are several key figures from the last Africa Cup of Nations campaign in Morocco, such as Patson Daka, Fashion Sakala, Luyando Musonda, Willard Mwanza, Dominic Chanda, Wilson Chisala, David Haminiysha, and Mathews Banda.
The interim coach has also placed his trust in several U-17 national team stars who shone at the World Cup in Qatar, headlined by captain Jonathan Kalmina, Abel Neryongo, and goalkeeper Christo Chitambala.The squad is expected to be reduced to 26 Chipolopolo players ahead of the Botswana Four Nations Tournament, set for March 23-31 in Francistown.The full preliminary list of 38 selected players:
