FIFA World Cup 2026 draw in full as England Scotland learn opponents

The FIFA World Cup 2026 draw has been conducted and we know now which teams will face each other in next summer’s group stage.

48 nations will battle it out for the right to be called world champions, although the final six nations still have to be decided in March’s play-offs.

2018 winners France have been dumped into the group of death alongside Senegal and Norway. One of Iraq, Bolivia or Suriname will join them.

England have been drawn with old foes Croatia, as well as Panama and Ghana. Scotland have been reunited with Brazil and Morocco, two of the teams they faced in the group stage in 1998, the last time they qualified for the tournament.

The Republic of Ireland could face co-hosts Mexico if they come through the play-offs. They would be in Group A, which also includes South Korea and South Africa.

Wales or Northern Ireland could be in Group B with co-hosts Canada, Switzerland and Qatar, although Bosnia & Herzegovina and Italy stand in their way.

Co-hosts USA have been drawn with Australia, Paraguay and one of Turkey, Romania, Slovakia or Kosovo in Group D.
