Flamengo among clubs with most 2026 World Cup call-ups | OneFootball

Flamengo will send nine players to the 2026 World Cup, placing the club 18th on the global list of call-ups. They sit above Chelsea, Benfica and Inter Milan, while Manchester City lead the way with 19.

According to Coluna Do Fla, Carlo Ancelotti named four Flamengo players in Brazil’s squad, Danilo, Alex Sandro, Léo Pereira and Lucas Paquetá.

Uruguay selected Arrascaeta, De La Cruz and Varela. Colombia called up Jorge Carrascal, while Ecuador included Gonzalo Plata.

Flamengo are the Brazilian club with the most call-ups for the tournament. Palmeiras, Atlético-MG, Grêmio and Internacional complete the top five.

The squad are on a break during the World Cup pause. Their next fixture is scheduled for 22 July 2026 against Chapecoense in the 19th round of the Brasileirão. Before then they will hold a training camp in Portugal with friendlies against Falkirk, Birmingham and Benfica.
