During the World Cup break, Flamengo have set out their next transfer window plan, built on three pillars: technical quality, pace and fitness. The club also intend to focus on players under 26.
GE reports that Flamengo are seeking profiles that differ from those already in the squad.
Targets are intended to match or exceed the existing level, while offering better physical fitness. Recruitment priorities have been set accordingly.
The shortlist includes a centre-forward to compete with Pedro and an attacking midfielder to back up Arrascaeta. Left-back and a holding midfielder are also being monitored.
The second transfer window will run from 20 July to 11 September. Flamengo aim to address key gaps while ensuring the best value for money. Heavy spending earlier in the season has reduced negotiating power for the next window, and there have been no significant sales so far, though any departures would widen the scope to invest.
