Flamengo land in Rio after Supercopa do Brasil defeat

Flamengo lost 2-0 to Corinthians in Sunday’s Supercopa do Brasil final at the Mané Garrincha in Brasília, then returned to Rio soon after.

The squad touched down at Galeão International Airport at around 22:45 Brasília time. According to Coluna Do Fla, no supporters attended to protest against the players.

Flamengo now turn to the Campeonato Brasileiro, with Internacional visiting on Wednesday. They were beaten in the opening round and need a win in the competition.

The first session focused on that match is scheduled for Monday at Ninho do Urubu. That leaves two days of training before the meeting with Internacional.

Kick-off against Internacional is set for 19:00 Brasília time at the Maracanã, in the second round of the Brasileirão.
