Flamengo are assessing Bruno Henrique’s future as he enters the final year of his deal, which runs until December 2026. From June 2026 he can sign a pre-contract with any club worldwide.

O Globo reports that Flamengo plan to propose a one-year extension to the end of 2027 if he wishes to stay, on reduced wages. If he opts to retire, the club would organise tributes across 2026.

Bruno Henrique joined from Santos in January 2019 for R$ 23 million and has made 353 appearances, scoring 112 goals and supplying 56 assists.

He is among Flamengo’s most decorated players alongside Arrascaeta, with 18 official trophies, including three Libertadores, three Brazilian league titles and two Copas do Brasil.

In 2026 he has featured in nine matches, with two goals and two assists, but has not played since the Recopa defeat to Lanús at the Maracanã. He has missed the last three games due to pubis pain.

He will also be absent for the next fixture, against Botafogo at Nilton Santos on Saturday 14 at 20:30 Brasília time, in the sixth round of the Brasileirão.
