He spent three seasons at The Hawthorns and left this summer after turning down a new deal. Signed as a free agent in 2023 after leaving Bordeaux, he had mixed fortunes and finished his second season as 12-goal top scorer despite missing the entire second half through injury.

Fitness problems also hampered his debut campaign and continued into the final year, though he struck key goals for James Morrison during the spring survival push. He scored three times in his last nine games, against Wrexham, Watford and Preston, yielding seven points.

Morrison wanted to keep him and Albion confirmed a contract offer in May, but it later emerged he would move on. Albion were also keen to retain Karlan Grant, who chose to return to Championship rivals Charlton.

Le Havre are coached by former Middlesbrough midfielder Didier Digard and finished 14th in Ligue 1 last season. Maja totalled 19 goals in 81 appearances for the Baggies, and previously played for Fulham and Sunderland.
