FC Bayern are apparently turning their attention to France again in their search for promising attacking players. According to the latest reports, the Munich club are looking closely at a talented striker from Paris Saint-Germain

According to French newspaper L’Équipe, Pierre Mounguengue is on the German record champions‘ wish list. The 18-year-old is considered one of the most exciting young talents in PSG’s youth ranks and has attracted attention with strong performances this season

Mounguengue currently plays for Paris Saint-Germain’s U19s, where he has put up impressive numbers

His development has evidently not gone unnoticed by PSG coach Luis Enrique, with the French youth international making his professional debut in Ligue 1 at the beginning of May and making a brief appearance for the professionals

Contract expires in the summer

Particularly interesting from Bayern’s point of view: Mounguengue’s contract in Paris only runs until the summer of 2026. According to L’Équipe, final talks about a possible extension are due to take place in the coming days

Should the talent decide against staying at PSG, a move could become much more realistic for other clubs

In addition to Bayern, Paris FC are also said to have expressed an interest in the young attacker

The interest fits in perfectly with Munich’s current transfer strategy. FC Bayern have been keeping a close eye on the French market for years and have repeatedly signed highly talented youngsters from Ligue 1 or the youth departments of top French clubs in the past

With players such as Tanguy Nianzou and Mathys Tel, Bayern have already proven that they can successfully convince young French talent to move to Munich

Even though Harry Kane remains the undisputed regular in the record champions‘ attack, those responsible are clearly already working on long-term solutions for the future

With Mounguengue, the next French attacking talent could now become the focus of Bayern’s attention

However, it remains to be seen whether this interest will actually lead to concrete talks or even a transfer.
