A fresh report from AS has added fuel to the growing uncertainty surrounding Antonio  Rudiger’s future at Real Madrid, revealing that Turkish giants Galatasaray have set their sights on the German defender.

With the centre-back yet to reach an agreement on a new contract, speculation has naturally intensified, opening the door for several clubs to test his situation ahead of the winter transfer window.

Rudiger’s position has become a topic of repeated discussion in recent weeks. His current deal expires at the end of the season, and Real Madrid have not moved to secure his renewal.

That hesitation has allowed rumours to circulate freely, with Turkey emerging as one of the most persistent sources of interest.

Galatasaray showing interest

According to the outlet, Galatasaray are preparing a serious push to sign the 32-year-old in January.

The club are keen to reinforce their squad midway through the campaign and see  Rudiger as the ideal leader to elevate their defensive structure.

His experience at the highest level makes him an attractive proposition for manager Okan Buruk, who is reportedly an admirer of the German international.

The plan from Galatasaray appears strategic. Since  Rudiger will become a free agent at the end of the season, the Turkish side intend to open direct negotiations with him first, aiming to present a compelling project.

Once those discussions begin, they would then approach Real Madrid with a formal proposal.

Galatasaray believe that pairing  Rudiger with Davinson Sanchez would significantly improve their competitiveness in the Champions League and strengthen their overall European ambitions.

At Real Madrid, while  Rudiger has been one of the team’s most reliable performers, the uncertainty surrounding his contract means the club must soon decide whether to secure his services long-term or consider a winter exit.
