Galatasaray are drawing up an ambitious summer plan built around a possible move for Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes as the Süper Lig champions prepare for the UEFA Champions League. Sabah reports that the Istanbul club are exploring an approach as part of wider squad strengthening.

President Dursun Özbek and the executive board are said to have made the 31-year-old their leading target for the attacking midfield role. Manager Okan Buruk has prioritised an elite playmaker after securing a fourth consecutive domestic league title.

The framework being discussed includes an opening offer worth between €30m and €35m, with internal valuations that could stretch to €60m depending on funding. Personal terms under consideration start at a net €10m per year and could rise to €15m via commercial add-ons.

Significant obstacles remain, from Old Trafford and the player. Fernandes is a central figure under manager Michael Carrick and has given no indication that he wishes to leave English football.

He is contracted until June 2028 and recently featured for Portugal in the FIFA World Cup knockout stages. Over the past year he has rejected Saudi Pro League approaches and is understood to be focused on leading United into their next Champions League campaign.

Galatasaray intend to formalise their interest in the coming weeks, but United are seen as unlikely to consider bids that undervalue their captain.
