Galatasaray are targeting Real Madrid centre-back Antonio Rudiger, with a January push being prepared amid contract uncertainty, AS reports.
The 32-year-old's deal is due to expire at the end of the season and talks on an extension have not been finalised. That hesitation has encouraged leading clubs to test his position, with Türkiye seen as a determined suitor.
The plan is to open direct talks with Rudiger first, as he can leave as a free agent in the summer. A formal proposal would then be made to Real Madrid for a winter move.
Head coach Okan Buruk is described as a firm admirer of Rudiger's top-level experience. Galatasaray view him as the organiser to strengthen their back line mid-season.
They believe a partnership with Davinson Sanchez could raise their Champions League competitiveness. With Rudiger a consistent performer for Real Madrid, the ongoing uncertainty leaves the club weighing a renewal or a January fee to avoid a free exit.
