Andrée Jeglertz watched on as his team delivered a five-star performance at the Joie Stadium, moving one step closer to the WSL title in the process.

History was made in Manchester with Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw scoring a hat-trick in 12 minutes 37 seconds - the fastest ever WSL hat-trick. And with it coming after 21 minutes, it’s the earliest top-flight treble ever.

It was a rampant display from City, who bounced back from last weekend’s draw in emphatic fashion, and as has often been the case, Shaw stole the headlines.

An instinctive volley after Spurs failed to clear a set piece got things going, before then another set piece caused the visitors problems, with our number nine wasting no time getting her name on the scoresheet for a second time.

As well as the Jamaican’s impressive hat-trick, there were goals for Kerolin and Vivianne Miedema all before the break to all but seal the win.

The win now sees City with an eight-point gap over Manchester United in second place, with just four games left to play in the WSL as we go in search of the league title.
