Gaviões da Fiel respond to end of Corinthians statute reform hearings

The public hearings on the reform of the Corinthians’ statute were officially concluded last Monday (9th). The final meeting was held exclusively for council members, while members of the organized supporters’ group Gaviões da Fiel followed the proceedings from outside the amphitheater at Parque São Jorge. After the meeting ended and following its repercussions, the organized supporters’ group officially took a stance on Tuesday afternoon (10th) regarding the end of the debate cycle, presenting an overall assessment of the public hearings that brought forth several proposals for the new Corinthians Statute.

In their statement, the group praised the proposals presented during the public hearings, considering them important modernization measures for the future of Corinthians, but made reservations regarding the issue of the Fiel Torcedor vote—a topic still under debate that could be implemented as early as the 2026 election or only in the 2030 election.

The organized group also stated that it intends to mobilize supporters to follow the vote in the Deliberative Council, scheduled for March, highlighting the importance of popular participation at a decisive moment for the club. The entity also informed that it is awaiting the new version of the draft, which will be presented publicly after Carnival, in order to conduct a detailed analysis to ensure that the proposed changes are aligned with the interests of Corinthians, its members, and its supporters.

With the conclusion of the meetings, the next step will be the vote in the Deliberative Council, when the final text will be put on the agenda. The deliberation is expected to take place officially on March 2 or 9. If approved by the Council, the project will proceed to the General Assembly of Members, the sovereign body responsible for the final decision on the reform.

SUMMARY OF THE PUBLIC HEARINGS ON THE STATUTORY REFORM

The board of Gaviões da Fiel Torcida actively participated in the ten public hearings held to discuss the reform of the Statute of Sport Club Corinthians Paulista, reinforcing its commitment to transparency, democracy, and the strengthening of the club.

Throughout the meetings, important proposals were discussed for the modernization of management, increased participation of members, of the Fiel Torcedor, and greater administrative responsibility. Gaviões was present at all stages, listening, contributing, and defending the interests of the Fiel Torcida.

However, Gaviões continues to follow the process with caution, especially in light of resistance from some council members regarding the right of Fiel Torcedor members to participate in the direct election of the club president.

As the next step, Gaviões will call on the Fiel Torcida to attend the vote in the Deliberative Council, which may take place on March 2 or 9, reinforcing the importance of mobilization and popular participation at this decisive moment.

In addition, the entity awaits the new version of the draft for a thorough analysis, ensuring that the proposed changes are aligned with the interests of the club, its members, and its supporters.

For Gaviões, the democratization of Corinthians is fundamental to ensure a more representative, transparent management aligned with the will of its supporters. The fight for effective participation of the Fiel in decisions remains a priority.
