According to L'Équipe, Hamburg have exercised their purchase option to keep Warmed Omari, who has been on loan from Rennes since last summer, with the 13th-placed Bundesliga side acting on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old Comorian centre-back was developed at Rennes and has made 94 appearances for the club.

He spent last season on loan at Lyon, playing four matches.
This season at Hamburg he has featured only seven times, an injury kept him out for 125 days.
He returned at the end of January in a 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich.
