HSV activate option to sign Warmed Omari permanently | OneFootball

Hamburger SV have completed the permanent signing of Warmed Omari from Stade Rennes after activating a purchase option, the club confirmed on Tuesday.

The centre-back initially joined on loan last summer and now commits to a long-term deal.

Omari recently returned from a lengthy injury lay-off, featuring in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich.

Board member Eric Huwer highlighted that Omari has shown his quality despite the setback, has progressed quickly, and that the club want to support his development over the coming years.

Omari said he is delighted to make the move permanent and feels settled with the squad and coaching staff. He appreciated the backing he received while injured, wants to repay that trust, and was pleased to be back on the pitch at the weekend with the prospect of staying long term.
