Hansi Flick has confirmed a contract extension with Barcelona, committing to 2028 with an option for a further year. The coach said in a press conference on Tuesday that any decision on 2029 would depend on how things go, and that either party could choose to stop.
Flick, 61, took charge in summer 2024 and has overseen a rebuild at a club dealing with financial issues.

Under his watch Barcelona have re-established a very attacking style and become competitive again.
They have won La Liga twice, the second crown confirmed on Sunday after victory in the Clasico.
Barcelona have also lifted the Copa del Rey once during his tenure.
