Manchester United said in a statement on Tuesday that Harry Maguire has extended his contract until June 2027, with an option for a further year.
The defender has regained a starting place over the past 10 Premier League matches under interim manager Michael Carrick.

That resurgence follows a difficult opening to the season, when he lost the captain’s armband and his spot in the side.
United’s form has improved, and they are third in the Premier League on 55 points.
Signed from Leicester in 2019 for €87 million, Maguire has made 266 appearances for the club and is among the squad’s most experienced figures.
His United honours include the 2023 League Cup and the 2024 FA Cup.
